TEA with an EXTRA BENEFIT
We are pleased to partner with Thomas Cole National Historic Site in offering this pair of historic tea varieties. When Cole, founder of the Hudson River School of American painting, and his family lived in their Catskill homestead, teas had just begun to be imported from the Far East on a regular basis.
Yunnan, a black tea, is likely the first-ever tea. It has a strong flavor with a bit of honey-like sweetness and a light smokiness.
The Chamomile/Mint blend, named for Cole’s wife and her sister, was originally considered a healing remedy. Now, it is a wonderful, light, refreshing hot tea and a perfect candidate for summer icing.
50% of all sales will be donated to Thomas Cole National Historic Site.
