The Hudson Area Library image is from an original line drawing created by Tony Kieraldo, a Hudson resident. Designed and used for over 100 years as the local Armory, the building was completed in 1898. It has been our state-of-the-art Library since 2016.
The Hudson Whale - As incongruous as it may seem, Hudson was known as the most important whaling center in the U.S. by 1840. The industry grew up here because of the exceptionally deep water port on the river. Illustration by graphic artist Emily Brooks.
