It’s probably safe to say researchers haven’t yet discovered all the ways in which ginger can be good for you. Records of Indian and Chinese potions exist as far back as 5,000 years. It was one of the first oriental spices to arrive in Europe – brought by the Arab traders to Greece and Rome. And, although it was extremely expensive (one pound cost the same as an adult sheep), the snappy, spicy flavor and refreshing zing are what keep us coming back for more.
